Mark Schultz, along with the legendary Al Williamson, wrote the insightful introduction to Flesk Publications’ book Joseph Clement Coll: The Art of Adventure. Besides writing, he is also known as a master illustrator. Widely known for his lush, near perfectionist approach, using a distinctive dry brush technique, Mark has garnered the respect of his peers and received numerous awards, including multiple Harvey’s, and Eisner’s.

He is most well known for his creation Xenozoic Tales, otherwise known as Cadillac’s and Dinosaurs, which he writes and draws himself. Kitchen Sink has published fourteen issues so far, with fans eagerly, and patiently, awaiting the next chapter. This collection represents comics at it’s best with an engaging and dynamic story, visually expressed through Mark’s beautiful linework. Denise, his wife, letters the art pages, providing the final polish.

Mark has provided scripts and/or cover artwork for Aliens, Johnny Quest, Predator, Star Wars, Subhuman, and Tarzan for Dark Horse Comics, and scripted Superman: Man of Steel for DC comics.

His most recent achievements include a series of seventy drawings and paintings for Wandering Star’s Conan of Cimmeria, Volume 1. Mark has proven his versatility by writing a novel titled The Flash: Stop Motion, published by Pocket Books. Mark is the current writer for the Prince Valiant Sunday newspaper strip for King Features Syndicate.
